CURRENT PROJECTS:
JIM GRAY SERIES

Kevan Jenson begins a series of new work based on the disappearance at sea of seminal programmer Jim Gray. These works will explore the touching and psychologically charged story of his last journey, to dispose of his mother's ashes in the Pacific near the Farallon Islands off San Francisco. The subsequent search for his sailboat Tenacious by the world wide tech community becomes in this series a latter day Odyssey, where the quest is not just for Gray, but for something lost in the metaphoric sea of unknowing. That space lurks just off-shore of California, at the edge of Western Culture.

This series is of particular interest to Kevan, since he too studied science and math at UC Berkeley before diving off into the oceanic depths of the art world.
